Congratulations to WBMT Agency Author Sam Millar, described by the Irish News as “Ireland’s most controversial writer…” Millar recently accepted a four-book deal with O’Brien Press and Publishing which includes the following titles:

The titles will be released under O’Brien’s Brandon Books imprint.

Sam Millar is winner of the prestigious Aisling Award for Art and Culture, the Martin Healy Short Story Award, the Brian Moore Award and Cork Literary Review Award, et al. WBMT Literary, Film and Television is pleased to announce that the agency has joined Author and Attorney Mark Kalmansohn in “The Hunt for the Holocaust Swindler”. The book details the rise and fall of a man of inestimable depravity – Lucian Ludwig Kozminski. Kozminski was a victim of the Nazi Holocaust who swindled thousands of fellow survivors out of their restitution from Germany. He was convicted for his crimes, but slipped out of the federal prision years before his offical release date and later apparently faked his own death. The author, former Assistant U.S. Attorney Mark E. Kalmansohn, independently undertook a lengthy investigation and pro bono civil actions resulting in the startling findings regarding Kozminski’s purported “death”. To this day, he continues to race against time and Kozminski’s fading footprints, trying to uncover Kozminki’s assets while seeking to locate the thief himself.

WBMT is pleased to announce that agency founder Whitt Brantley now represents the book rights to Logan’s Run on behalf of Author George Clayton Johnson. Co-Author William F. Nolan is represented by John Silbersack with Trident Media in New York City. WBMT Literary, Film and Television and Trident Media will be working together to secure domestic and foreign sales on behalf of the authors of this science fiction classic in anticipation of the upcoming Joel Silver/ Warner Bros. remake starring Ryan Gossling as Logan 5.

WBMT Literary, Film and Television is pleased to announce that the agency is now repping the film rights and screenplay to Book One of the Random House Starfist Series. STARFIST: FIRST TO FIGHT is written by Random House authors David Sherman and Daniel Cragg. The screenplay is written by Eric Bean, Sloane Golden and Ben Talbot.The Random House published STARFIST series of 14 military science fiction novels is set in the 25th century and written from the viewpoint of the men of the Confederation Marine Corps 34th FIST (Fleet Initial Strike Team). Over a million copies have been sold. Book One is now in its fifteenth reprinting. The books have also been translated into Czech and Polish and are successful in the United States, UK, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Caribbean, Germany, France, Russia, South Korea and Taiwan.

WBMT Literary, Film and Television Partners with Writing Legend George Clayton Johnson

WBMT is pleased to announce that the agency now represents two properties from one of the masters of screenwriting and storytelling: George Clayton Johnson. Fans will remember him from The Twilight Zone, Star Trek, as co-author of the sci-fi classic, Logan’s Run and of course, for the story that ultimately became the Rat Pack classic, Oceans Eleven. George was essentially discovered by Rod Serling and when Ray Bradbury is one of your biggest fans…wow.

Mr. Johnson has written a new screenplay. It’s entitled RYAN: THE LOVE OF HEINRICH HATE. This script is an excellent example of film noir writing and has been written for a new Bogart and Bacall. As well, George has created one of the most sinister villains ever to appear onscreen within this script. Who will the lucky actors be to take on these roles?

Also represented by WBMT Literary, Film and Television is a four-book set of some of George Clayton Johnson’s most famous and respected scripts and stories. Read more about one of Hollywood’s greatest writers here.

WBMT joins forces with Writer/Director John Fiorella

WBMT Literary, Film and Television is pleased to be working with writer/director John Fiorella. Currently, the agency is pushing his screen property entitled LAPSE, a sci-fi / action-adventure in the vein of
Memento meets Breakdown.

A down on his luck gambler has 90 minutes to pay off his debt while caught in a mysterious shift in time. Attachments: Lee Majors (The Six Million Dollar Man) is set to star, along with Diamond Dallas Page, Kimberly Page, and Lachy Hulme. Harry Lennix is considering a role as well.

Comic book fans will also recognize John Fiorello as being the writer, director and producer of the acclaimed underground youtube trailer GRAYSON. Set in an else world, Batman is dead. And it’s up to Robin to find his killer. Check out the trailer for GRAYSON.
